About PTSD Resurrected Ltd

Nestled in the heart of South-East Queensland PTSD Resurrected Ltd, also known as Reboot AU, is a grassroots charity with a mission to offer trauma healing courses to veterans, first responders, and trauma survivors.

Summary & Background

Founded in 2017 by Andy & Zoe Cullen, this organisation began with a clear vision. Over the years, they've made remarkable progress in developing their Reboot program, gaining recognition worldwide. However, their reliance on word-of-mouth for sponsorship and funding limited their ability to assist more people. While the demand for their courses was high, limited funding and facilitators have held them back. Andy & Zoe also aimed to expand their impact beyond Queensland, reaching New South Wales and eventually the whole of Australia.

Staying true to their grassroots values, they continued with simple, hands-on support operations. Yet, this, combined with scarce resources and financial limitations, posed challenges to their broader growth plans. Recognising the need for a more structured approach, Andy & Zoe sought the expertise of dovetail digital.

To kickstart the process, Andy & Zoe underwent our 4-step Digital Maturity Assessment. This deep dive into their strengths, weaknesses, and untapped potential, guided by our thoughtful discovery process, paved the way for a clear path to their goals and greater success. The outcome of the assessment was a list of recommendations defining their current digital maturity and future objectives, plus mapping out actionable steps to elevate their operations.

Through these steps, we aim to enhance their outreach, digital presence, and operational efficiencies, enabling them to smoothly scale and meet increased demands and to help them transition from their grassroots beginnings to being a nationally recognised charity.

Objective

The primary goal was to review Reboot AU's current digital presence and outreach capabilities with the view to expanding trauma healing courses into New South Wales to meet the growing demand. Our recommendations are focussed on rebranding, digital transformation, website revamp, outreach, fundraising, and engaging ambassadors.

The Digital Maturity Assessment

The Digital Maturity Assessment is dovetail digital's 4 Step Process aimed at gathering, identifying and prioritising your business goals and challenges. We assess and measure your current level of Digital Maturity and provide you with a pathway forward.

Key Recommendations

  • Branding and Clarity: The organisation should consider unifying its name, course, and messaging. The "Reboot" course's transformative nature and adaptability for diverse trauma sufferers should be emphasised.
  • Digital Transformation: Implementing a digital transformation strategy will streamline operations, automate processes, and enhance communication.
  • Website and Content Revamp: A comprehensive revamp of the existing website would help bring clarity to conveying Reboot.
  • Outreach and Marketing: Consider implementing a targeted outreach to help build a database of potential supporters, sponsors, and partners.
  • Grants and Sponsorships: Develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy focusing on securing grants, sponsorships, and partnerships from relevant organisations.
  • Events and Fundraising: Increase fundraising opportunities through peer-to-peer campaigns, trauma awareness days, and annual events tied to specific fundraising initiatives.
  • Ambassadors and Patrons: Appoint ambassadors or patrons to enhance visibility and credibility. This would help expand the network of support and drive the message to a broader audience.

    The first key step should include a workshop "kick-off" involving key stakeholders. Points of discussion will be branding, digital transformation, website revamp, outreach campaigns, fundraising strategy development, event planning, ambassador engagement, training, and ongoing support.

    Timeline

    The indicative timeline to implement our recommendations will span ~12 months:

    Budget

    An estimated first year budget of $##,000 - $##,000 should be allocated toward executing all the aforementioned recommendations and tasks. *The range is based on the level of involvement from PTSD Resurrected stakeholders.

    Measurement of Success

    Success will be gauged through indicators like increased course offerings, participant growth, tax-deductible donations, sponsors secured, website engagement, and positive feedback.
